The Migos rapper is facing a lawsuit from one of his baby mamas over the dispute regarding payments of his child support, claiming the money is no longer enough due to coronavirus crisis.
AceShowbiz -Rapper Offset is heading to court to face off with one of his exes over child support payments.
Shya L’Amour, real name Nicole Algarin, has filed legal papers in Georgia demanding an increase in monthly funds for their four-year-old daughter Kalea, claiming the limited financial support the Migos member has been providing is not enough to cover their bills.
According to documents obtained by Bossip.com, a hearing regarding the matter is set to take place in court next month, May 2020.
Shya’s attorney, Fani T. Willis, explains the coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted her client’s own earnings.
“She’s like all of us, she’s struggling,” Willis told the outlet. “She’s an hourly wage worker, she’s got two beautiful little girls… She’s not doing well in terms of resources people need.”
Offset, 28, has a total of four children, each with a different woman. His youngest is daughter Kulture, whose mother is his wife, rap superstar Cardi B.
He previously battled ex-girlfriend Justine Watson over her child support demands for their then-seven-year-old son Jordan in 2017. Offset fathered his eldest child when he was just 17.
