Watch Bernardo Silva in horror miss from THREE YARDS as footie fans claim he's 'doing his best Timo Werner impression'

MANCHESTER CITY star Bernardo Silva will be having nightmarestonight after failing to score from THREE YARDS out and an open goal against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Portuguese playmaker found himself with a golden opportunity in the 25th minute to bring the scores level at 1-1 in their Champions League clash.

Former Everton man Idrissa Gana Gueye has given the French giants the lead after just eight minutes.

But after some concerted pressure, City were seemingly ready to get a foothold in the game.

But Silva's effort hit the crossbar before bouncing to safety for a relieved home side.

It came after team-mate Raheem Sterling had crashed the woodwork himself.

And footie fans were quick to post their shock at how the 27 year old star had failed to find the back of the net.

One fan account posted: "Bernardo Silva missed from here and paid a tribute to Timo Werner."

Chelsea's German striker has come in for criticism in some quarters for missing a whole host of chances since he joined the club.

He has since lost his place up front to Romelu Lukaku.

Kwame Benaiah was stunned, writing: "How the hell did Bernardo Silva miss from here?"

Another added: "I’m still in shock at how Bernardo managed to hit the bar from there and then not get to the rebound either."

It might have been a tight call and VAR had Silva netted with questions of offside.

Despite going in to half-time a goal down, Pep Guardiola's side will rue a whole host of missed chances after a decent display.
